Jared Della Valle, MArch ’96, MS ’96, has generously established a $100,000 challenge to encourage increased support for the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.
Meaningful change happens when hard work is matched by collective action. This challenge is an invitation: to meet effort with effort, and to multiply impact together!

When you invest in the next generation of artists, architects, and designers with a gift to the Sam Fox School Annual Fund, you provide flexible dollars for scholarships, research, creative practice, the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, and more. Contributions also play a vital role in achieving the goals of the school’s strategic plan, Shaping the Future. The plan focuses on three key areas: digital transformation, sustainable practices, and community engagement. With your help, we can build on the school’s strengths and create a better world.
How the challenge works
- The Della Valle Challenge will match renewed Eliot Society-level gifts of $1,000 or more to the Sam Fox School Annual Fund.
- The challenge will also provide a 2-to-1 match for all new or increased gifts or multiyear commitments at the Eliot Society level.
| Your gift | Match provides | |
|---|---|---|
| Renewed Eliot Society membership | $1 | $1 |
| New or increased Eliot Society membership or multiyear commitment | $1 | $2 |
