Supporting the heart of academic life
Tackling challenging assignments, working with study groups, exploring information, advancing transformational research using both new data tools and historic collections — it all happens in the WashU Libraries.
Paul Koulogeorge, AB ’88, and Eliav Barr have generously established a $100,000 challenge to inspire giving to these essential campus resources.
As a critical component of academic life, the libraries must continually evolve services and collections to serve the changing needs of the WashU community. Whether enhancing the accessibility of information or helping librarians better support faculty with research and pedagogy, these consistent adaptations allow the libraries to continue to be a place of opportunity and discovery.
This is only possible through donor support.

I give to WashU Libraries because, as a crucial resource for student learning and research excellence, they are the heart of academic life. My contribution helps ensure they stay up-to-date and accessible for future generations. My hope is that this challenge encourages others to support the libraries. Please join me!
Paul Koulogeorge, AB ’88
How the challenge works
The WashU Libraries Challenge will match all gifts to the WashU Libraries dollar for dollar.
The challenge will also provide a 2-to-1 match for all new or increased gifts to the libraries at the Eliot Society level of $1,000 or more.
| Your gift | Match provides | |
|---|---|---|
| All gifts to WashU Libraries | $1 | $1 |
| New or increased gifts to WashU Libraries at Eliot Society level | $1 | $2 |
